GOOD GOD THIS IS LIKE EATING RAW COCOA
EVEN AS I TYPE NOW I CAN FEEL IT BURNING AT THE BACK OF MY THROAT
DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT SUGAR IS
IT IS STILL BURNING
I DRANK LIKE A PINT OF RIBENA
AND IT STILL BURNS
what a bunch of wimps
i dont understand its just chocolate its not even dark chocolate its just regular old hershey’s milk chocolate
what where you expecting
Just to clear things up I’m british and I was expecting a bar of chocolate that had some semblance of sugar or milk
Hershey’s just appears to be solid cocoa death
wait so is british chocolate just like pure sugar or something
How do you think we survive such long periods of uninteresting bland politics and weather
Are you fucking kidding me?
For those who don’t know, the Washington Post did a study. The minimum amount (in America) of cacao you can have in a chocolate bar and still call it chocolate by FDA standards is 10%. Hershey’s Milk Chocolate is 11% cacao. 89% sugar and milk and shit.
Britain you are fucking weak as shit.
you’re also forgetting that american chocolate has a lot more chemicals in it to stop it melting quickly in the heat. because the uk is in a constant state of damp, we rely on less chemicals in our chocolate. soooo…yeah.
I’m not quite sure I get your logic here. Wouldn’t less chemicals mean you have more room for purer chocolate and would thus have a concentration above 11%?
as mentioned above, apparently the uk uses more milk and sugar. also, your chemicals leave a weird after taste. i generally find american chocolate much more bitter etc
You wanna talk bitter? I’m actually on a quest right now to find my tolerance level for dark chocolate. So far, the most I’ve taken is 84% straight chocolate and while I will admit that was unpleasant, I can take that level so give me some more.
I must be some kind of masochist. Maybe I am. But my original conclusion stands, albeit relativized.
Weak. As. Shit.
I don’t like dark chocolate anymore, because when I was a kid I ate a huge bar of it (like the size of a netbook) in one go, right before dinner.
Put me off dark chocolate and macaroni and cheese for life.
